Guidance Office
Counselors have staggered work schedules during the summer. If you call during the summer, you might not be able to talk with your child's counselor, but a counselor will be available to answer your questions. Call the Main Office (699-2800) and ask to be connected with a counselor. Please make sure that we have accurate phone numbers in our system if we need to contact you. Guidance hours for registration of new students is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. by appointment. See www.richland2.org/content.aspx?id=12458 for enrollment information. Then contact Judy Gray at jgray@richland2.org or ext. 2827 to make an appointment to register your child. Please be sure to give Ms. Gray your e-mail address so you can access Parent Portal.
Make-up exams
If your student has a zero for an exam grade on his or her report card, this may mean that he or she did not take the exam. Make-up exams must first be approved by Sabrina Suber, ssuber@richland2.org. Students missing exams must document their absence as either medical or a family emergency.
Excessive absences
Students receiving a grade of FA on their report card have not received credit due to excessive absences. Semester classes: Students missing up to and including fourteen (14) days may make up one to four days at a cost of $30 per day, if approved by the principal. Year-long classes: Students missing up to and including twenty-eight (28) days may make up one to eight days at a cost of $15 per day. Students having absences in excess of these numbers are not eligible to participate in the make-up program. Information on dates and times: Tiffany Ligon, tligon@richland2.org or 699-2800 ext. 2889.
