 Model UN takes Award of Excellence at national Model UN conference

Columbia, SC:  Richland Northeast High School’s Model UN team won the Award of Excellence as well as an award for research and preparation at the National High School Model UN Conference at the United Nations in New York in March. The 19-member team, which represented Indonesia, competed against 172 delegations comprising more than 2,500 students from throughout the world.

In addition, Lauren Wright attended the conference as a member of the press corps, serving as the humanitarian reporter for Hamza, a Syrian newspaper.
