Task

To complete this project you will write a biography which is a true story of a person's life. Your biography should begin with the person's early life, and then move on to the later years. Dates and places should be included when appropriate and interesting facts about the person are essential. The report should conclude with information relating to how this person's contributions have affected our lives today.
You will also present your biography to the class. When you present you need to dress as your person. Be creative and use clothing items and props that you have at home. Remember you are trying to impress the textbook publishers so they will select your biography for inclusion in the new textbook.

Use this information as well as other nonfiction sources from the Media Center or public library to write your report. Be sure to write your report in your own words. You must also include a bibliography citing your resources. Find a costume and/or props that represent your person for your presentation to the class and then practice your presentation.
