The Computer Lab at North Springs Elementary contains 27 Dell computers, a Lexmark color laser printer, and a Hewlett Packard laser printer. Students in Kindergarten through Fifth grade attend the Computer Lab weekly. Students are taught computer basics and advance into multimedia applications. The school's instructional technology specialist, Beth Phillips, plans the instruction in the Computer Lab and Shawna McEachern, computer lab instructional assistant, implements the lessons. The ITS also assists classroom teachers with the integration of technology and academic standards. North Springs has a second computer lab with a flexible schedule. Teachers may sign up to use our second Computer Lab for additional activities. They may also use portable SmartBoards and a mobile, wireless computer lab in their classrooms. | |
