African-American Culture Club

African-American Culture Club is open to all students  Kindergarten through 5th Grade, who are interested in learning about the rich heritage of African-Americans. The purpose of this club is to learn about a variety of historical African-Americans, as well as to encourage students to aspire to become the best they can be. Every year they have an annual Kwanzaa Karamu and an African-American Culture Club Night to enhance the students' skills in public speaking and drama. Students get a chance to do some arts and crafts during the school year. The sponsors of this club are Mrs. McAllister, Mrs. Brown-Shuford, Mrs. Powell, and Mrs. Johnson. The club meetings are held  bimonthly, on Mondays, from 3:00 P.M. to 3:45 P.M. The scheduled meeting dates are listed on the North Springs School calendar, including extra meeting dates in February.
