Dr. Lynch has served as President of the State Association of Elementary Principals and most recently was recognized for the Profile in Leadership Award by Dr. Stephen Hefner. In addition, TEAM LCE was named 2008 TEAM of the Year in Richland District Two. Dr. Lynch received her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale Florida; a Master of Education Administration Degree and a Master’s plus 30 certificate from Winthrop University, and a B.A. in elementary education from Newberry College.

Dr. Lynch has a strong sense of community and believes that a school should be a happy, but serious, work place where EVERYONE can feel and be successful!!! She loves to read, go to movies, shop, and to practice a heart healthy lifestyle. She enjoys yoga, step aerobics, the elyptical, and an occasional zumba class. She and her husband, Lou, have two sons, one a Business graduate of the Citadel who recently married the love of his life, Tracey, and the other a student at Newberry College majoring in Physical Education and minoring in Spanish. She also has an English bulldog who lives with her temporarily (hopefully) named Rudy. Dr. Lynch loves being a principal and especially loves being a gator at the best school in the universe, Lake Carolina Elementary!!!

Dr. Andrea Berry has worked in education for the past 15 years. She began teaching in an inner city school in Austin, Texas after completing her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Texas. There, she taught science and was trained in focusing on multiple intelligences and teaching gifted students.

She then moved to Bangkok, Thailand and taught in an international school for two years. She taught second grade and middle school science. A professional highlight of her time overseas was in leading 60 middle school students to spend a few days at a Thai orphanage. While there, they not only planted pineapple trees for the home’s future income, but also just spent time playing with the children.

She returned to the United States to work on her Masters degree in Administration at Columbia International University. While in school, she taught high school physical science part time at Ben Lippen School. When she returned to the public school, she worked in Lexington One teaching middle school science once again and earned her National Board Certification in Early Adolescent Science in 2000.

She came to Richland School District Two in 2001 to teach science at E.L.Wright Middle School. She enjoyed serving as a department chair of science, working with the Middle School Task Force, and being a part of the faculty as they achieved the Palmetto’s Finest Award. She moved to help open Kelly Mill Middle School in 2004 by piloting a technology class. She completed her Doctorate in School Leadership in 2006 and then worked at Keels Elementary as an assistant principal for the past two years. She is very excited about joining the Gator team and meeting all the students, faculty, and families!

She has been married for 10 years and has two wonderful young children ages 3 and 4. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church.
