SIC Members

The purpose of
the Blythewood High School Improvement Council (SIC) is to:
-
Assist
in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the five-year
comprehensive school improvement plan;
-
Assist
in the preparation of annual planned updates;
-
Assist
with the development and monitoring of school improvement and
innovation;
-
Develop
an annual school report to the parents and constituents of the
school to provide information on the school’s progress in meeting
the school and district goals and objectives;
-
Provide
advice on the use of the school’s incentive grant awards;
-
Serve
as liaison between the school, school organization, the community,
and the local school board by collecting and disseminating
information about school improvement;
-
Provide
other assistance that the principal may request as well as carrying
out any other duties prescribed by the local school board.
The School Improvement Council meets the
first Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the BHS Library Cyber
Center. All members of the community are invited to attend and
participate in meetings.
