following girls lacrosse players made the Girls Lacrosse South
Carolina/North Carolina National Team Hillary Rish, Kelsey
Thurston, Kristin Kimmerling and Maddy Sears
Boys Golf
Senior Andy Moore had been selected to the North/South All
Star Team for golf. Only 8 senior golfers are selected for each
team. The tournamentwill be held in Myrtle Beach. Congratulations,
Andy.
Girls Basketball

Keisha
Henderson was named the Region 3-3A girls basketball
player of the year. She was also named to the All-State team
and was selected to play in the North/South All-Star game.
Henderson averaged eight points and four rebounds a game for
the Bengals. Joining Keisha on the all-region team are
Ashleigh Edwards, Michelle’ Goodman and Chelsea Krick.

Tracy set a new school scoring record with a 77 at the 3A state

Memorial Scholarship Award
Kathryn Malone a freshman at Blythewood High School was recently
honored with an Ashley Nicole Dent Memorial Scholarship Award.
The Ashley Nicole Dent Memorial Scholarship Award is given each year
to a current Columbia United FC male and female soccer player who
exhibit an unyielding determination to achieve excellence in the
classroom, to obtain success on the soccer field and to foster
genuine love, support and friendship amongst his and her teammates,
coaches and club leadership.
Sports Illustrated Honors
Blythewood Athletes!
Marquan Jones and Richard Mounce were selected by
Sports Illustrated as an SI.Com High School Primetime Performer.
This honor is given to students for their performance, leadership
and success on the field as well as in the classroom. $1,000.00 has
been donated to the Athletic Department in each of their names.
