General Policy & Procedures

Grading System - Blythewood Academy follows the District's Uniform Grading Policy.

Discipline - All staff use a uniform discipline policy for minor problems.

• 1st offense - Verbal warning
• 2nd offense - Lunch detention (parent contact)
• 3rd offense - 2nd Lunch detention & Parent conference
• 4th offense - After school detention
• 5th offense - Written referral

Make Up Work - Student are able to make up work missed in each class.   Students are responsible for getting with their teachers to obtain any make up work.  Only in extreme cases or prolonged absences will more than one week be allowed to be made up unless permission is granted by the school principal.   Students are reminded that missed work can lead to class failure.  Failure to obtain make up work is no excuse for not doing work missed.

Attendance - Artendance is madatory.  Students must give the school written excuses from parent or physician for ALL absences other than those approved by the principal for school-sponsored activities.

Blythewood Academy follows Richland School District Two's discipline policy.  A copy of these regulations are available in from the District Office or in the Blythewood Academy student handbook.
