Dear Parents,                                                                           
           If you are interested in your child attending one of the child development centers in Richland Two, please print, fill out the Initial Application Form and return it along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record to the Spears Creek Road Child Development Center Office.  If the birth certificate and immunization items are not available, please forward your application, so that we may process your paperwork on the date in which it was received.  If your child is offered a spot in one of our centers, we will request a non-refundable deposit, your child’s birth certificate, immunization record and proof of residency.

When filling out the application, please indicate in the upper right hand corner your choice of center(s). Please limit your center choices to three and indicate by ranking them in order of 1,2, and 3.   Parents are expected to provide transportation to and from the child development site, so consider your center choice(s) carefully.  Please note child development is not an Expanded Choice school: “If a child development student is placed in a school other than their zoned school, they will need to attend their zoned school beginning in Kindergarten unless they are able to receive Expanded Choice.  The opportunity to apply for Expanded Choice will not be a guarantee.  So if a school is closed to Choice, they will need to attend their zoned school”.

            The Spears Creek Road Child Development centers are a tuition based program; however, we also accept ABC Vouchers at various centers.  If you are currently receiving benefits from the ABC Voucher Program, please complete the section on the backside of the application. 

            Enrollment into the Spears Creek Road Program is an on-going process.  The application places your child on a waiting list for the year you are requesting and the center(s) you are applying for.  If you are applying for the current school year and your child is not enrolled in a center immediately, he/she will be placed on a waiting list to be enrolled in the next available slot.

Admissions Policy

• The Spears Creek Road Child Development Program serves children who are three and four years of age.  The child must be three, four or five on or before September 1 in order to enter the program.
• The child must be a legal resident of Richland School District Two.  Proof of residence in the district and/or proof of legal guardianship may be requested from the parent or guardian. Acceptable Documentation for Enrollment Requirements for District II
• The child must be toilet trained by the first day of enrollment.,,
• An application must be submitted each year for all children wishing to attend the center.  Initial Application Form
• Application forms are also available at the administration office of the Spears Creek Road Child Development Center

• Immunization records and a birth certificate must be submitted at the time of application to enter the center.  A valid South Carolina Certificate of Immunization must be submitted for all children.  Certificates can be obtained from your private doctor or the County Health Department.

  Tuition: $150.00 per week

  After being accepted into the Spears Creek Road Child Development Program, the following registration forms are available to download, fill out and bring in to the school. You will also need:

• 1.  A  certified Birth Certificate,
• 2.  SC Immunization Certificate,
• 3.  Three Proofs of Residence
• 4.  A picture ID
• 5.  A non-refundable Registration Fee of $ 150.00  (Not required for 5 year old Montessori Kindergarten students or of those receiving financial assistance.)

  Since the initial application form may be sent in several years before a child is old enough to attend child development, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the office of any changes in address or phone number so that we may contact you.
